You control a squad of soldiers with different abilities and equipment and must use tactical positioning, cover, and special abilities to defeat the alien enemies. 

It features a variety of enemy types, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and you must adapt your strategies accordingly. The collection includes several expansion packs and DLCs that add new content to the game, including new factions, enemies, and customization options for your soldiers. However, it has a steep learning curve, and some players can find the game difficult to get into.
